So far about 15,000 miles with no complaints or issues even with stock mounts.
There are many theories with mounts. Most used to say you had to run a solid trans mount with solid engine mounts. Other say to use a ploy trans mount. I used solid engine mounts and a poly trans on my ELcamino for along time without an issue
    Whats NVH?

NVH-noise, vibration, harshness. BSR- buzz, squeak , rattle

my motor mounts came apart easy, get a drill and drill out the one side of the clam shell and grind off the rivets on the otherside and pop em apart

i had a poly trans mount last year and no noticeable probs but i also had td's dumped lol.

its no caddy so i'm not worried

Poly mounts came with my turbo kit and I don't notice any difference in vibrations. Then again the car has a stiff suspension so any bump in the road is transmitted.

I also have a poly trans mount that I installed previously when my factory rubber one was torn. The shifter was moving a lot when loading/unloading the engine. My shifter physically moved up and down a lot. It was unnerving. Hardly any motion after the install. It is nice. But i did not install that extra plate the trans mount came with. That was the suggestion I saw over on LS1tech. Works well for me.

Yeah that was fun. I used every elbow and extension or wrench I had to get those out. It was fun....

While getting the drivers side bolt in, I slipped with the prybar and seriously clocked myself in the side of the head. My jaw was sore for two days. My g/f at the time joked that she was telling people she hit me.

Well, I got the trans mount today, the motor mounts will be in tomorrow. I kinda chuckled when the guy asked me what color I wanted ( black or red). I was like "color? Its an F'n motor mount". So i opted for red, red wasnt in stock, so I got black...then I found out you can get them chromed too, I dont know why.

I think Im going to ask them not to use the pre-load plate as well. Hope they know what Im talking about

Be patient. Getting to those bolts is tricky. Hopefully getting it all back together will be easy for you if you are not changing the k-member too. I did my k-member when I did my motor mounts with the turbo kit and that was a royal PIA. Just take your time, have some extra hands there for assistance and make sure you have plenty of ratchet extension, elbows, etc to get at the bolts. I contorted myself in so many different ways I think I gained some flexibility during that install.
