  • same rims...what tires?

    lol i seen matts post and it got me thinking.. in april im getting new tires so i was wondering what you guys recommend.... i want some low pros like meissens or even lower.. the tires i have on there are monstrous so i want some tires that will drop the car a little bit. if possible nothing over 100 a pice because i dont have much to work with.. please include links so i can check them out.thanks

    that's barely any thing to work with. I have Khumo Ecstas ASX, they were $150 each.

      check out the Fuzion ZRi.....rated 5th out of 50 some tires and theyre cheap as all hell...get on tirerack.com. I spent like $113 per tire on a 275/40r/17

        ok i went to tire rack and it gave me 2 sizes... 215/60-16 or 235/55-16 witch one is right?

          what tire are you currently running on yur car? thats the size you want.....

            if you change tire size it will throw off yur speedo...and possibly yur ABS if you have it....

              the rims i have are the stock salad shooters and my speedo is already off a little bit because of the monster tires i have on it now lol

                they dont look like 215's little wide atleast from that picture... a 3rd gen came stock with 215's and they are skinny as hell and i know the 4th gen has a wider rim... go with the 235's get a little more rubber on the road.. but yeah your speedo will be off a bit unless you get a larger rim to match the low profile and still keep the same outter dia.

                  My Iroc came with 245s....Im gonna bet you need at least a 245 on there...lemme check...

                      ya but he has a stock camaro...lol not a z28 or iroc.. it does say 215 and then 235 was optional for the v-6 eiather way you have wide rims you could fit up to a 255 probably easy on them i would say go atleast 235 and if it doesnt cost much more to up it a bit go bigger...

                          for the 3.4 camaro you could ether get hubcaps or the z28 rims so i think the 215 was for the hubs? but anyway i have the same rims that z28's have

                            i think your tires should be a 245/50 R16 (stock size that comes on the salad shooters)... so if you went with a lower side wall height (40 or less....much less would be asking for hell on your rims if you hit a curb) that would look better i suppose?
