I need to replace the strut bearings which are on the way. I was gonna have Todd's bro do it for me but having some problems with Nextel and Sprint so had to spend the money I had set off to the side for the labor. So now I'm wondering how hard and what is needed to replace them? If it's pretty simple I'm gonna do myself once it warms up alittle more. If it requires special tools guess I'm just gonna have to wait till I can get the money saved up again.

Is it just remove the 3 bolts, pull the part off. then put new 1 on. or what? I have a Haynes manual but it's buried in my shed.

I don't know much about the 3rd gen strut tower/bearing. But if it's like a 4th gen, it's a part of the strut mount, which I had mine replaced a couple of times. I think you do have to take a strut assembly off the car, compress the spring to disassemble, then put the new strut mount on.

CAUTION
Do not attempt to move the vehicle with the upper strut fastener disconnected.

- Install the brake caliper
- Install the wheel and tire assembly.
