Rear Shocks

Can anyone tell me what would be good shocks to run on the rear. I dont want cheap ones either, my stock ones blew out at 37k miles. The front ones seem to be alright, think i should change those also?

I'm upgrading to Single adjustable Koni's. There really pricey, but they are the best shock for our car from what I'm told. You also have the capability to use the stock springs, and drop the car an additional 3/4in up front. I'd say that Billistein shocks would be fine if you kept the stock ride height.

Hey thanx im checkin the konis out right now. So I can lower it 3/4 with the stock springs or do i need to get lowering springs? Wouldn't mind lowering it but won't beable to drive down my hill to the pull barn for winter. The side skirts have about 1/4 inch clearance before bottoming out. And do you think i should do all the way around or just the rear. The rear is real bad, the car bounces around real bad i can't stand it!

id do all four, so then next time you do it, it will be time for all four again. just a good habit to get yourself into. im actually doing mine all the way around here this winter.

Thanx for helping me out I guess im gonna do all 4's, do you kno a good place to go for a good price. I went to konis website and it''s gonna be around 909$ for single adjustable, and for double its gonna be 1485$

i dont, sorry. im actually putting new stock shocks/struts all the way around on mine. it handles and rides pretty good with the stockers so why not. it allows me to put money elsewhere in the car.

Yeah that sounds like a good idea but i wanna try something new cause my stokers blew out at 37k

i guess until i ride in or drive a car that is night and day difference, the cost outweighs the benefits

You can only lower the front 3/4" with the Konis. If you want to lower the rear a little you can do what they call the heater hose mod where you remove the upper rear spring rubber isolator and slip on heater hose over the spring and put it back in. I had Tokico's on mine when I lowered it and the front was OK but the rear was bottoming out. I replaced the fronts with dual adjustable Konis and single adjustables in the rear. I put the Tokicos on my V6 and they're fine on that with stock springs. Do all 4 shocks and not just a pair or it'll mess with the handling having worn fronts and new rears. I drove that way a while on my V6 until I could get time to pull the fronts and swap them. The rear felt great but the front sucked. Bilsteins are cheaper and if you're staying at stock height would be a good choice.

Alright sounds good yeah I was thinking about staying at stock height. So I guess ill go with the bilstiens.
