  • What brake pads!!?!?! 4th gen

alright the front pads on my 95 are nearly on the squealers so i gotta replace them this summer.

the reason i am asking this question is for one reason and ONE reason only.

Are there any pads out there that are known to produce less brake dust!?!?!

I can drive my car for months without ever washing it, but my front wheels are covered in brake dust after 30 miles. Its extremely annoying. I understand that this is just the way brakes are, but there has to be some better than others. what has everyone had good results with here?

I thought Ceramic brakes made less dust? Maybe not? But is seems like everybody uses Hawkes.

ceramic should make for less dust, you'll have to pay for them though

is there any specific brand i should look for? I use raybestos on my truck, i think they are ceramic but they still make some dust.

i have no idea whats on the car right now, they were on the car when i bought it. all i know is that they smother my bright silver wheels in dust in no time flat. Ive always carried a rag with me specifically for wiping the front wheels off.

i have bosch's on the rear and those make about 1/6th of the dust the fronts do, but they dont do nearly as much work.

I was going to do the C5 swap, but i decided id rather just buy pads and actually get the cam swap done before the next decade gets here.

Even on my v6, you take the time detailing it so it looks sweet, by the time you get out of the neighborhood the rims are dirty.
