Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I was just looking for some opinions on what MI. Fbody owners thought of the Torq-Thrust M series wheels. While I was surfing around on the LS1Tech web site, I came across an interesting post. A member asked why so many Fbody owners perfered the Torq-Thrust ll over the TTM. Most people responded that they felt the TTM looked too much like a Mustang rim from the Bulitt cars. What do you guys think. Do you think they would be cool on the Fbody???
Thanks.

I like the TTM's and TTII's both. The people that say they look like Mustang wheels don't realize that American Racing had that style wheel WAY before the Mustang ever used them. You can't beat a classic 5 spoke wheel design. I was considering some TTM's in Anthracite for either my SS or my V6. If you like em, get em. Who cares what the lemmings on LS1tech think!

They are a bit different, but they are still a torque thrust wheel which has become very common these days. I say go for something different all together.
I have looked at other wheels and noticed they get pretty pricey in a hurry. The main reason I was asking this question is that there is a sponser on that site offering some great savings on those wheels through the end of the year. Right now, I can save $370 on a complete set of TT2s and $206 on the chrome TTMs over Summit's prices. I would be open to any other suggestings, but I thought at those savings, it would be worth looking into. I personally don't care to have any kind of painted wheels at this time, although they do look extremely nice on many cars, it's just not my preference right now.
Yea a lot of people have TT2s including me, but that's why they're inexpensive. I didn't have 4k to burn on some sweet rims which was a good thing when I 360'd off the highway in the rain and cracked 2 rims 8-O
I haven't seen too many TT2 classics like mine but I'm already planning to paint the centers black to make them just a little bit different than everyone elses.
i love the torq thrust m's. the black ones are the ones i wanted for the t/a pretty badly.
they do look like bullitt rims, but there is a reason they used an existing design on the bullitts...IT LOOKS SO GOD DAMN GOOD. you have never seen a rim design last longer than the 5 spoke "SS" style. i think cragar started it. thats where i remember it from, granted im only 20.
My son (LTguy) just bought them in 17's for his yellow and black '76. The M is new and slightly different and is going to look great on his car!!!
He bought them a couple of months ago and they were on double backorder. Meaning their next order was already spoken for and his name went on the order after that one. Just got them last week but is still looking at tires.
