Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
You're not seriously going to run drag radials in the front are you?

You will prob still get some wheel spin out of 2nd with those, Most people break there shit on the 2-3 shift because it hooks :O!
Dont worry it happens to the best of us anyways, I'm on the 3rd 10 bolt my self
I thought most people broke on launch? I was always concerned about shifting as well, and was told by many that its not likely to break on shifts. More likely to break at launch. I'd rather have it break at launch, over breaking going 70+ mph8-O That be bad news bears.
By the way, whats a 35th anniversary conversion? Those wheels look like the ones you have. I don't know that much about the Camaros

Hes gonna sand them down or whatever, and coat the inside black, with just the outside being the silver color. SS wheels and 35th wheels are the same basic wheel, just 35ths have black inside. Im sure someone will post a pic in the morning.
autos are much easier on the rear end because of the converter
no matter what, the 10 bolt is a piece of shit not adequite for the job enlisted!
nice new rims Joel...i just picked up a new set of dubs myself this afternoon
The reason people break there 10 bolts on launch with a 6 speed is because there is no tension on the gears and they just slap together when you drop the clutch. With an Auto there is almost always tension on the gears there for its much easier on them. But I agree 100% that the only money you spend on the 10 bolt is they money you save to replace it with a 12 bolt or 9in. After I get my trans built thats the next thing Im going to do is a built rear end

as nate said the insides are black, and the outer faces are machined metal (the machining is already under the paint on silver wheels). I did my homework and found the part number for the 35th center caps, so if the paint strips off like it i expect it to, it will be a piece of cake.

for the truck or for the car?
also my opinion is that launches kill rear ends if your stupid... i just want a little better 60 foot, i dont plan any 4k clutch drops. im afraid of the shifts because my clutch doesnt hesitate - wanna know what im talking about watch the "it cant turn 275s" video in my sig. even fourth gear puts down rubber.

not sure yet. in the end ill have four silver 10 spoke wheels and 4 drag radials left over. ill probably keep a set of two for the track, might pawn off the other two.

I regularly launch at 4k or higher on my MT DR's. I've even launched off the rev limiter once to see if the tires would break loose at the track(they did!) The trick is to ease into the clutch, not just flat out yank your foot and immediately get full engagement. That shocks the driveline less and saves the rear.

Anyhow Joel I think those anniversary wheels look great but they seem to be at a high demend and I would be impressed if it was that easy to replicate but I hope for the best for ya.
