  • The ULTIMATE F-Body History Thread!

I have been planning on posting this thread up for a while, as a compilation of all of the great informative articles I've come across since I got involved in the F-Body world. I'm not going to elaborate too much, but if you want to have something added to the thread, go ahead and post it up. I'll add it to the first few posts in the thread so all of the information is easy to find right on the first page. I'll try to break it down by generation. I have a basic idea of how I'm going to organize all of the information, so I'm going to put up a few blank posts to save space for all of the links on the first page, as well as to keep the info separated by topic.

Disclaimer: I was not responsible in any way for the creation of the articles linked below. I am simply compiling the information in a central location for the purpose of making historical information easily accessible for everyone here.

I'm going to start with links for compiled information for all generations. These articles contain information that are not specific to either model, Camaro or Firebird, nor with regard to year or generation.

              5th Generation (2010-Present)

This post contains links that are specific to the 5th Generation Camaro, which began production in 2009 for the 2010 model year, and is still being produced today. This vehicle doesn't qualify as a true F-Body, based on the fact that it was built on the Holden-developed "Zeta" Platform. It is still very much a Camaro, and will forever be a major part of the history of the F-Body.

Again, if anyone has any links they would like to add to this compilation, PLEASE post them up here. I will eventually go through the process of copying and pasting the articles from their original sources to this thread, but I want to make sure I get permission from the authors before that happens. I don't think linking them is much of an issue, considering the fact that the information is accessible easily through the internet. This is going to be a continually evolving project, so be sure to check back for more information.

                  Hey Nick,

Pay attention to the link's URL. Your 2nd gen info page was "ch2" so obviously there's a "ch1" "ch3" "ch4" etc. I went through and checked just to make sure and then added the links to the appropriate post. Great idea for a thread, Nick, and thanks for taking the time to compile these links! I'll have to see if I still have my bookmarks on my laptop at home to see what I can contribute.

PS - You don't have to ask people permission to link to their site - only if you copy the content from their site and paste it somewhere else.
