• [Project] Project 383 VERT

I am planning on taking the motor/trans out to paint the engine bay, clean up wiring mess, and do some emissions deletes. So far I have been making sure I have everything I need to remove the motor. Here is what I am starting with. I bought the car with some motor work done but no specifics. Any input on whether it would be worth pulling a head off and the cam out to see what exactly has been done?

That would be the time to do it. Way easier when its out. Itll Cost ya a couple bucks for gaskets and such.

Agreed. 100x easier to do that outside of the car.

Why is it when I upload 1 pic it is putting a duplicate in the post?

You are using the attachment feature and inserting a link to the attachment in the body of the post. That isnt incorrect but the attachment feature is configured to automatically show a copy of all attachments uploaded at the bottom of every post... Thus youre seeing it twice. Im sure there is a way to turn that off but i havent used it in forever and im not seeing it right now. meissen ..?

We upgraded PHP and it causes that to happen - I need to update the site's software

I haven't been posting many updates but am finally making progress. Got everything repainted and the emissions deleted. With help from wmccnick we got the motor back in and now in the process of doing the wire and fuel line mod, and hooking everything back up. Hoping to fire it up in the next few days.

WOW. I really wished I would have done a better job on the header gaskets. That sucked to fix in the car.

Got some parts delivered today, now lets see about cutting a trap door for the pump.
