Hey all!
Been a hot minute since ive done any updates. Things have gone pretty well so far. I have been trying to take my time with this and do everything right. Which causes some slow downs as the money increases as we all know! So been trying to make progress, but not break the bank and end up on the streets LOL. Things have taken a turn to where i dont believe this car will see much if any of the street. I may drive it out to woodward the week before the cruise once or twice, but thats even a huge IF.
Last time i was posting the plan was to run a 6.0 GM Iron block. 317 cast heads, power steering, Heat, Poly motor mounts, BMR front suspension, Factory interior, yadda yadda. The list of what i THOUGHT was going to be...is no more.
The more and more i started thinking about things and as the car progressed. The things i wanted, became things that could case harm. I didnt want to be going down the track, and the power steering break loose, blow a line, or even me over reacting the wheel to case the car going into the wall, or worse the car next to me. I ditched it. Manual rack.
The interior, As i got into pulling things out, carpet, ac,heat. They became things i simply just did not want to have to put back in or even have to remove again to fix something down the line. So that got axed quickly.
BMR front suspension. This was a headache. Nothing lined up motor mount wise. Caused me so much headache. It went away. Now running all racecraft components up front.
317 heads, Well..again..KNOWING these were a weak link in the 6 bolt block. I didnt want to have to worry about them lifting going down the track and again causing me to hurt myself or somebody else. So they were sold, and i picked up a set of Trick flow heads with some Comp adjustable rockers.
Roll cage. Went from just a basic 10/12 point thought..to thats not enough. 25.5 was put in place.
Shes still got aways to go, but wanted to share a quick update with you all. Enjoy the pics.
