  • [Project] Project Blue Thunder

I haven't posted in a long while. And I figured its time for an update. The Camaro has been running mostly okay since the engine swap back in 2010, but I came across some parts for cheap and well it snowballed from there... My wallet hates me right now. First I picked up an HSR intake for $300, then found a complete disc brake rear end from a wrecked 91 z with 3.23 gears for $200. And I thought if I'm swapping rear ends I might as well drop the tank and replace the fuel pump and sending unit. Also the suspension. I purchased UMI's adjustable rear suspension package along with the lca relocation brackets, new kyb shocks and moog springs (all around), Alston sbc's. Also picked up a complete TPI engine harness used as well as a unmolested body harness. And I figuired since I'm getting a new intake I might as well get new valve covers as well. As I was installing the new intake I discovered my dizzy doesn't clear so I now have a new petronix small cap dizzy. Oh, I also had to get a new radiator (twice) as my stock puked on me last summer and the aftermarket this summer.

So its over 2k worth of parts and I have a feeling I'm still not done. If, I have any money left I plan on getting mad hammers chambered exhaust (gmmg) this spring.

Wow, the quite the list of improvements. I'm sure you'll love all of them when the project is complete.
