It's called Dibond. A sign material. A low density polyethylene core sandwiched by two sheets of 0.001" aluminum. Total material thickness is 0.120".

Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere.

For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day, you shall have a track day, a Sabbath of competing, to time the FIREBIRD; whoever does any work on it shall be put in last place.

Cool! Looks pretty good for this application, in your video. It will be interesting to see what your track results are.

Bump for added pictures. Both headlight assemblies have also been removed since I don't plan on any night racing with the car.

Took my car today to the scales. Total weight is 3160lbs. This is without driver on a full tank. No pass seat and on a V6 with the smaller/lighter t5 trans. Has anyone been able to get to 2800ish lbs on these cars? At this point I'll have to start adding a lot more power to hit my desired power/weight ratio.

I saw these listed on a forum just the other day. (Don't think it was here, or in this thread! Wouldn't that be embarrassing...). Don't know what it would save you, but the rear window HAS to weigh a ton. Not cheap, but a good quality part never is.
