I haven't look at the body mounts and stuff yet.

Today I changed out the belts. No more squeal when they are cold yay!

Have some fun electrical stuff to figure out.
The turn signals work when they want to in the front. Don't work in the back. No brake lights. Driver rear running light works, passenger doesn't. Passenger reverse light works, driver side doesnt.

I haven't looked for a 4 pin connector but someone wired in electronic trailer brakes.

When the brake is depressed the controller lights up.

        EDIT:

Thinking it might be the Turn Signal Switch as everything runs through it. And after wiggling the turn signal stalk the front turn signals work properly now but still no rear lights.

Older trucks/cars like this I'd recommend replacing the entire harness. If I remember right, kits are under $400 to rewire the whole truck from front to back with the fuse block upgraded to mini-blade. All it takes is one brittle wire to burn it to the ground. *badum-ching*

Probably a good idea. Painless makes a kit for the 73-87 trucks but its 567 bucks.

Or LMC has the rear harness for 120.

            Front harness is 190.

I've used American Autowire for a few projects in the past, my 55 was under $500.

I'll look around, I swear I saw one for under $400

I haven't checked any grounds yet.

There is only 14 grounds on the exterior light system. Most will be tied together looks like.

seems like on every gmt400 ive had wether running issue or anything electrical has usually been a ground that broke loose or was never put back on. never had a swuare body but it could happen with those too.

Its the first things to check because of the rust and the age of the trucks. So I am going to go through all the grounds first.

                    EDIT:

All lights run through the turn signal switch in the steering column. Wiggling it around (the turn signal stalk) got the front turn signals to work and the passenger rear. The grounds are rusted as hell. Going to wire wheel them clean. Moved the ground wire on the driverside and it broke off. So need to fix that. So first step is to clean all the grounds. If it still doesn't work I am going to look at the turn signal switch.

The turn signal switch uses the light grounds. So if the light grounds are bad the turn signal switch will act up, but I suspect the it to be the rear grounds because the fronts are functionally properly. Which tells me it isn't the flasher tubes in the fuse panel.

                            UPDATE:

Only thing not working on driver rear is the backup light.
Passenger rear only thing not working is the running lights.

Next step is to check if they are getting power to the feed wire.

There is a Edelbrock 1406 carb mounted on it. I will be removing it and selling it when I find a Rochester 4MV Quadrajet. So if anyone is interested in it.
