  • [Project] 02 v6 to a 01 SS v8

Its been a long summer, but. I got the ls1 swap done in my 02 v6 camaro or should i say 02/01 LS1.
Swapped my old v6 auto out for a ls1 6-speed. For those who are looking at swaps get a donor car!!!! It made my life so much easier!!! and make sure that the donor car has all the same features as your v6 car.
I had to swap out the wiring from the tail light to the headlights for this swap to work.
The SS donor was a stripper car. I don't have auto windows or locks, no more trunk pop or key fob or cruise control it's a simple basic camaro now no auto seats nothing. I like it reminds me of the Old cars. MAKE SURE BUYING A DONOR CAR YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT TO KEEP!!!!
Another thing is a auto car is only set up for auto the fire wall and floor is stamped different from a manual car. To convert my camaro i had to cut out the firewall peaces I needed from the SS and weld into my auto v6 camaro plus the floor board for make room for the 6speed.

Here's some pics of the build runs and drives and its a blast!!
