[Project] Keeping the 2000 Camaro SS need help adding some power

i am keeping my 2000 camaro ss automatic, i plan on doing some things to it while it is in storage but need to know what is usually the stiuff people start out with doing performance wise. Please let me know and i apprecitate it.

Most people start out with basic bolt ons. Good flowing exhaust,long tubes, maybe even a cutout to go with it. Possibly bigger lid.

i have the slp stainless steal exhaust on it with the dual dual tips i think its excatly like the one thats for sale on here, but i was thinking of just bolt ons at first but didnt know what was some of the brands people use and yes a new air lid is going to be my first thing

start with lower (rear) control arms and a panhard bar. Subframe connectors would be good too. Check foundersperformance.com for good stuff and good prices. Next, would be a good torque converter. Headers and y pipe. At that point a good tune.

Yank, Vig, FTI, ect are all good quality converters.

Avoid junk thats 1/2 the price.

3600 is a very good size for a stock to mild bolt on car.

I wasn't referring him to Huron Speed for a converter. He was asking for performance and he should go with Huron Speed for a turbo kit

If I had to suggest a converter^

If it were me, in order:

1.) Converter
2.) Gears
3.) If lowered: adjustable LCAs, relocation brackets, adjustable panhard bar
If not lowered: box the stock LCAs, relocation brackets if they're not already angled down toward the axle, box the stock panhard bar
4.) Adjustable torque arm (preferably long TA, TA relocation mount too if you're feeling frisky)
5.) MWC true subframe connectors
6.) CAI
7.) Headers/ORY or good catted Y-pipe
8.) Tune

I'd definitely keep that SLP Dual/Dual exhaust. It'll get a little louder with the headers, and it flows excellent.

thats all im looking to do is a mild build bolt on's like heads cam headers, what do you all think about intakes and throttle bodies do they really help

3600 is a very good size for a stock to mild bolt on car.

We can now get Circle D converters! Which IMO is one of the leaders in the converter game right now with some awesome products to offer! I would suggest a 245mm 3600 stall speed. Cost is $795 + shipping. Billet Cover, best of the best internals!
