  • [Project] Ultra Zee vert

Saturday was the last day for insurance on the Z28. So me and Jacob fitted the Ultra Zee spoiler on to get an idea how it will look. Jacob says it looks cool, I'm kinda on the fence!
I also priced out waterborne paint, For top quality Dupont paint and clear to do the Zee will cost me just a little over $800.00. That's with a 15% discount I was told. Think I might get pricing across the river and also check what duty will cost.
Anyway here's a few pictures. 1st pic you can see the difference in how the U/Zee spoiler sits with the factory side wings still inplace.

    Looks nice.
    Doing the hood next?
I like the center stripe running from the hood to the spoiler

I'll be doing the hood this weekend after i modify the hood hinges. I was going to do two black stripes on the hood and spoiler. The two together will be as wide as the one that is on the spoiler now.
I'm wondering if i should put the stripes on the trunk lid also. The pictures I posted that Terry sent. His stripe was just on the hood and spoiler.

Ok I see and I would do just the spoiler and hood.
It may seem weird not being on the trunk lid, but it's weirder if you continued you it on the trunk lid.
I do like the stripe on just the hood too without it heading on the spoiler.
It is just the stripe on the spoiler adds so much to it..
I would say no trunk lid continuation and just hood and spoiler

edit: actually if done right, I would say do it on the trunk lid too.
If you are using the same outline as the pics from your last thread and just seperating the stripe into two, then I would say continue on the trunk lid.

Or maybe have the trunk lid stripes end under the spoiler.... Think I'll let Jacob decide.

I like how the first one flows with the body so nicely, just don't know how that would work with a ultra z hood.

Work on the Ultra Zee is going slow. But I really enjoying working with my son on this project. When I work afternoons he gets bummed if I work on it while he's at school. So i try not to; so far we fitted and sanded the hood, also we have taken the rs ground effects off. And now we are fitting the new center exhaust valance.
                Also our rims came in

Awesome! What's the purpose of the circular "mesh" in the tailpipes? Just to stop animals from crawling in?
