Cross checked and crunched some numbers and read alot of info.......I do not have a 305 HO.

I have an '84 LE-9, out of a canadian chevy truck. "274" Camshaft, Flat top pistons, 601 heads. Aluminum Rochester Quadrajet 4 BBL, 160HP and 235 torque when ran on stock exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust.

From what I have read, the LE-9 is better than your basic 305 LG-4, but isnt exactly an HO L69.

Cleaned up the engine bay a bit Monday-

Took out the heater core, which was in rough shape, core and cover.

Wasnt dented up initially, but the rusted holes let this happen-

I was just starting to think I didnt have a mouse in the entire car, before I found this nest.......sifted through, and found no wire or plastic insulation from wireing. Hope all wiring is safe, as I figured it was- before I found this nest.....

Removed the power steering unit, as I will have no use for this and have no want, at this time, to figure it out. I will clean it up and set it on a shelf somewhere for now....

Before removing the cover to the heater core, I didnt know that the fan housing was all one piece.......

I am hoping to find a small enough squirrel cage and a good motor (which was bad) to fit into the blower motor area and get bolted in, to at least provide air circulation.

The area the heater core was in, along with the entire firewall, might just end up getting covered in diamond plate, as long as the piece I have is big enough to cover it all in one piece.

Got the rear bumper cover back on, straitened out, and buttoned in like it should be. When I got it only the 2 bolts were in in each corner. Nothing bolted down behind the lights or under the car. Its was just flappin in the breeze.

Big improvement, if you ask me!

It's amazing when you start taking things apart and you realize how many bolts are supposed to be doing something but aren't. When I went to do my first brake job on my '94 Camaro, my dad and I discovered both of the endlinks for the front sway bar were completely rusted out and not holding anything.

Last 2 weeks have been pretty uneventful, as far as working on the car......been working every day and spent some time on the lake with family on my day off this week. Hope to get some time in tomorow though.

Popped my head in the garage and found my father in law has finally uncovered his car. Heres a couple pics, for any of you that have been wondering what was under the car cover, next to my car this whole time-
