The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. I also ordered new carpet to match my 4th gen seats I got from Jim. I have to do somthing with my interior plastics now since they are a light grey. Paint them maybe??
please dont paint them, dye them and clear not gloss. or find all black panels
If they do get painted or dyed how ever it's done, it will be done by the interior shop in Port Huron. I will not be doing it I am looking for darker interior pieces. Most that I find are in bad shape mine are perfect just wrong color. ANyways either way it will not be glossy I want more of an original type color.
What do you mean by dye them? Is this somthing I can do? I really don't want black I would like a drark grey like charcoal maybe?

duplicolor has different types of spray paint based dyes, and so do other manufacturers probably. most people just clean them and spray but it never ends up sticking. i watched an epsiode of gears where he touched on this and had a specific procedure in which he did it and the paint stuck really well
yea but no. the episode of gears i saw he didnt like the prep spray he used something different to take all the grease off and then coated it
Ok I will do a search see if I can find it. I got all of the interior out today. Carpet should be here Monday. So I want to do somthing with the trim pieces this week.

Carpet came yesterday. I am still cleaning the inside of the car though. Lots of dirt under the old carpet. NO RUST THOUGH!!!!!! Going to finish cleaning it all then lay the carpet and put the seats in. I have most of the interior trim pieces dyed. Just a few more left but since it was so humid yesterday I didnt touch them. Today some more engine parts are getting delivered.

The stuff is pretty amazing lol I sprayed my old carpet to see if it works like they say and the carpet is out side and got rained on yesterday and the paint "dye" is still there and feels decent too no flaking. I was suprised. I only have to finish my door panels now.
