  • Just received an email back. They do not make a 2.5" . Made a prototype, but lacked the customer support.

Any one have an idea on the xpipes I posted?

    • What's wrong with a 3" setup? Room to grow.

      • Don't want 3". Camaro will be fine with 2.5". Will be plenty for the power I want to make.

        • Agreed but if there is 3" readily available, for a good price.

          • I had LPP duals on my camaro. Looked very similar to the ones Jeremy posted except they had mufflers.

            • You may want to reconsider the Phab setup. I have a "full" 3" exhaust and not full 3". It goes down to 2.8 ish at one point.

Everything fit to gather great and outside of my header problems looks to be exactly what I wanted, and your not going to find a better price.

I wanted their TD system but didn't want to deal with the noise/drone.

              • Meh IDK, I might want to eventually go lower and could save some money doing 2.5" now. Good price yes, bit still weighing my options for 2.5.

Going to chat with a couple of my commercial accounts and show pictures to get a price on a system.

Mean time, still going to research the xpipe

I guess these are my choices. I am thinking the Pypes tunnel (1st pic) would be better starting point? Or would the summit be.

                  So just need to figure out the X pipe,buy 1 bullet,turn downs,hangers,clamps ...

They have one without mufflers - seems reasonable to me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2002-Ca...a0954a&vxp=mtr

Just another option. I think Mike @concept had their setup on his pumpkin.

I wish I could run dumped duals - but I don't have room with the 3.5" driveshaft and tunnel mount torque arm.
What cross member are you running from mwc?

I bought 2 cross members from him one for this season while the set up remains a n20 combo and another one that will tie onto the sfcs when she gets a snail or 2 next season.

Just curious cause he said he has guys running the 3 and 3.5
X pipes and not having issues

I have the cat-back x-member, the double drop would help but then I have the big ass 3.5" aluminum PST drive shaft that makes it tight to say the least. The true dual crossmember is a joke - my car would never hook with it as high as it mounts the torque arm.

Rolo - I'd just go 3". No need to go 2.5" unless you need the extra ground clearance,

                      • I want the clearance because I plan on going low. And dint want to alter the exhaust if I can avoid it right now

Something came to mine after digging on ls1tech for mandrel bent. Why not just individually buy the bends and straight pipe? Alot of posts on ls1tech, user stated that they had to cut and weld the pieces from the universal to fit many times(obviously) so why not just buy some of the bends and what not to piece together a custom "custom" kit?

Im having a hard time finding all the degree bends but here is what I gathered so far (hoping that its right). These degree bends I believe should follow the Y pipe configuration until you hit the X (little cutting and welding needed)

                        8ft of 2.5" straight pipe $27.94
                        (2) 90* bends $39.94
                        (2) 45* bend $35.94
                        (1) X $35.06

I feel in this small list, I am missing another bend or two? Maybe a 120*?

I have the magnamouth on my camaro right now.

The bullets can tuck up perfect right before the tips if going over axle.

You can hear the bullet here..dont mind the exhaust leak . Opened the cutouts around .40 mark

You can hear a track pass with the exhaust here

                              • Well figure I would update right now, to a post I should have done mid summer or so. Cat has been out the bag with a couple members on here, so why not just let it out. Had to dig around for the picture but finally found them last night.

Jacked up and ready to go

                                Time for the disassemble

                                Out with the old

                                In with the new

Updating this post from a previous topic since all my pics were deleted by my mistake

So on to the gauge installation.

Started when Michael made a visit to Lapeer for me to test fit the hard tops pillar

                                The goods

Decided where we will weld the bung at

                                Fuel pressure sender

Putting it all back together now (you can see where in pan the bung is welded)

Trans was being a PITA to remove.

Met Jeff and bought his cooler

Everything was done early early spring. Ken was a very big help, and learned alot.

And the video.Had to get a feel for the loosey goosey..My neighbor *****es about how loud the camaro is all the time (so I'm told from a friend)..and I always ***** about the damn dogs always barking so it is what it is so I edited her out
