  • [Project] The Big Jon 88 project

well as you all know i used to have an 83 project as that project went a long it was for the best that the car was scraped it was covered up with longs of bondo and turn to be a rust bucket. How ever it turned out to be a good thing when darren found me my 88 iroc on craigslist i got a steal on car with parts i just wanted to get a new start so i had B delete my old thread filled with bull shit going to start fresh and get this thing in gear going to add photo as things are done my plans still are:

build a 383 with a t56 paint the car a bright white do an ls1 brake swap on the rear and keep the 3.42 for now and see they run everything on the car will be new or close to it i am not in a rush but i would like to see the road by next summer/fall but i have had my fair share of set backs but its ok i am ready to start over and take it from here and see how it goes i plan on painting the car my self i am in the process of setting my garage up to do so all in all i am just hoping to meet new people hang out with the olds one and just have some fun with it.

Sweet project. Can't wait to cruise with you and everyone else next year. That t56 will be fun I just picked one up for my car yesterday and can't wait to put it in!! You should build a real stroked sb and go with a 427!! Lol. The body looks to be in great shape. Shouldn't take much to throw on some paint and make it look nice. Good luck with the build and keep us updated.

More picture of Jon's new 88 Iroc. We really found a diamond in the rough here this will be one NICE car when its done and complete. Jon has some really great ideas and plans and I believe hes going to retain the stock looking car too. I really wish we found the RPO codes because it seems to be a well optioned out Iroc with all the goodies.

Jon literally stole this, I was defiantly jealous! Can't wait till she's on the road.

Was sad to see the 83 go the way it did tho

Look for build sheet under the carpet sometimes it is there from the factory.

There is no carpet, lol. Build sheet is gone and so are the RPO codes. We can only assume now

Looks like a cloned IROC to me!

I think we need to bump this thread as often as Brents thread so it on the road in 7 months.
