[Project] Starting to think about Winter plans...

Ok so I have thinking lately about what I want to buy over the winter to get my car faster. Here is my current list with my reason why.

1. Longtubes (car has BBK shorties)
2. Racetronix Walbro kit (shes aint pumpin enough fuel up top)
3. Dynotune from Baker Engineering, Vector Motorsports??? (shes running on a mail order)
#1-3 are the for sure things that are going to get done, #4 has 3 options that I would like to choose 1 of them.

4. Lastly I have 3 options I have been considering.
a. Hit her with some spray
b. Koni Strano setup, Torque arm, adjust panhard.
c. bite the bullet and get a rear end, 9" etc. (may be stretching limit of my budget)

Any input on options, brands, tuners, other mods to consider, etc??

I would do Number 3 first. A mail order is just guess work and hope. (Guess this SHOULD work, and I HOPE everything is ok.) Steve at Vector does a great job. he also does street tunes.

#1-3 are the things I am for sure going to do. And yeah my plan is to get the longtubes and fuel pump in and then take it to get a dyno tune from most likely vector, like you said they do great work which I have heard from other people also. Then I want to do one of the options I listed in #4. Sorry I should have been more clear.

yeah it would be stretching my budget, but it would be nice to be able to launch hard as hell.

Get the 9". Full suspension next. You need to build the car from the ground up. Get it working well with the power you have now. Thats where most people go wrong. Just throwing power at something that doesn't work.

There is no reason a cammed LT1 shouldn't be able to go mid 11's at full weight.

I would do the suspention in the #4 group. Get the engine and tune sorted out and learn to launch, Then get the rear end to hold the launch. Last thing would be spray everything else need done before spray or its a waste.

I would do suspension first. Ryan put a 9" in his car before doing the rest of the suspension and he just ended up snapping wheel studs instead of driveline components. That and my 10 bolt has been put through all the hell you could imagine and its still quiet as a mouse... but i have a strict street tire rule for it. Suspension also has so many other underrated benefits you won't get from a 9"

edit: just saw you dont have longtubes yet. Thats your #1 priority, LT1s NEED to breathe.

yup, the racetronix fuel pump kit, Longtubes and the dyno tune is going to happen. I am leaning towards suspension as it is cheaper than the rear and my 10 bolt has been pretty strong with no noises, idk if the richmond 4.10's help at all or not with strenght and longevity.
