  • [Project] 99 SS Resurrected from dead. new cam intake valvetrain build

Well I havent been too active on here in quite some time but i've still been busy with the camaro thought it'd be time to post an update and general build of my car from the beginning. But recently I just put in MS3 cam 92mm fast set up ect....

I started with a mint condt. 99 slp SS t56 ended up totaling that in feb 08 getting caught in a snow storm on 696 anyways I had no collision on it since it was staying in the garage most the time.
    Before crash:

    After:

So I brought the car to my garage tore off all of the parts every nut and bolt then basically sat on the parts for about a year till I bought a 1994 Z28 roller from LSXDREAMER to rebuild with al my parts. Heres a few pics from that process back in 09.

    First start since crash.

I dont have too many pics on this laptop of the build.

Now for the changes for this season

    92mm FAST intake
    92mm PTM Throttle Body
    Double Spring PRC Platinum Springs
Texas Speed Magic Stick v.3 111 LSA
    TSP Hardend Pushrods
    TSP Ported LS6 Oil Pump
    Racetronix LS1/LS6 36 lb./hr. Fuel Injectors
    Scorpion Aluminum Roller Rockers
    MSD Plug Wires
    NGK Spark Plug

and heres my pics as of now:

So she runs as of now but needs a tune, im picking up a true dual set up tomorrow and need to get some tires and other misc little things left to do to it. I cant wait for the meet and greet guys lol

          Nice work!

Curious about the air inlet set-up...looking to do something similar to feed mine. Have any more pics?? Conventional lid system for mine will be "inadequate"....

I'm interested to see as well but stockers are 1.7 and they seem to hold up pretty well for h/c cars.

Amazing what you did to the corn machine.

Are you going to swap the front to 98+ or leave it as the LT1 style?

Looks like you have rebounded quite nicely.

Looks like a 1994 with the 99 drivetrain and interior. Whats the story with the blue engine compartment?
You sure have a lot of time transfer all of those parts! Was it worth it? or should I say Would you do it again?

he wrecked his 99 ss on the expressway and he only had plpd on it. so he bought the 1994 roller off a member here who was going to paint it that blue color in the bay but sold it before he finished the job. i cant remember his name but he had a red g8 gt after words and this car used to be a lsx e85 car IIRC

i honestly think this is one of what id call a "perfect fbody. 97+ interior and dash. lsx swapped 6speed into a early 4th gen. def what i want to own later on down the road.

Guys go 8's on stock rockers. Why spend the money on anything aftermarket unless the head requires it?
