I was thinking about my seats and belts today and I think I am gonna bite the bullet and put a 4pt in the car. Does anybody have suggestions on a mfg for the main hoop? I know of comp eng and s&w racecars, are there any more? I would go and search tech but I don't have time. I know some of you guys are well versed in this stuff so let me know! Thanks.

Wolfe makes a nice main hoop and I believe there are several guys using a particular e-bay kit and having great results I'll have to get the company name.

So I got the seats in the car and I am a tiny bit displeased with the height that they sit at(as you can see in the last pic) but when I put the cage in there I will be pulling them out and chopping probably a good inch or so out of the mounts. But overall I like them! Now to get the cage going and get the 4pts in there...muahahaha

Justin that is why i fabbed my own brackets. You should just copy my design, i made them go the absolute lowest the floor pans would allow them to go and the seating position is still a little higher than stock. (the driver side can go lower than the passenger side but i designed them at the limit of the passenger floor pan so they sit even with each other). My brackets not sit level like those do, they tilt back a bit which i wanted because I feel the race seat locks you in better that way which is the point of having them in the first place. And the latter makes a big difference in the height of your seated position too.

There are pictures of my brackets in my Z28 build thread, you'll have to look back a few pages in it.

OK now that i look again yours do have some angle to them.

Anyway the pictures of my brackets are in post 169-177 of my thread.

Thanks Joel, I might have to do something like that. We will see what they look like after I chop the shit out of the mounts I have.

You might be OK depending on the seat itself. A little bit of adjustment really goes a long way.

Can you still move those seats on forward and back? Like the tract mounted seats?
