[Project] New truck!!!!

now i know this isnt really a huge project but im excited, as of last night i bought an 88 k1500 stepside for 1000. its pretty nice even though it has a slight misfire, and needs a few goodies. for the year it barely has any rust and the interior and engine compartment look brand new. im going to do oil trans, axle and transfer case oil and filter changes, fix the misfire, and some small trim items, also the locks dont anlways want to work, but i think i got a really good deal.

thank you. the driver fender has some rust, the rocker on the pass side has some and theres a tad on the rails on the bed, but the underside hasnt even really oxidized yet, and is still solid as a rock. as far as driving goes, you can barely tell it has monstrous tires on it, it drives really smoooth. just needs a little work on the locks, alternator, fluid changes, a bulb or two, cab bushing but thats about it. i fell in love with it first time i saw it. do you know how many lugs a 1500 had in 88?

plans are to fix it up really well, so it runs perfectly without any problems, and eliminate all the bugs. my grandpa actually bought me this because my camaro took a poop on me, so he said he wanted me to have a truck so i picked one and he bought it. the truck will be used for your basic homedepot trips and for towing his boat and the camaro when i start completely rerestoring it. as for now its sitting in the driveway till i can take it to school to fix the misfire, then it will get me back and forth to hunt for a job and school. i dn tplan on selling it anytime soon so the future of it all depends on what i feel is necessary but i like it the way it is right now

so after some research im sorta deciding what my plans for this truck are besides making it very mechanically sound. id like to get better gas mileage so electric fan, roller cam, tbi chip, air filter, headers, and underdrive pulleys i hope to buy once i get a job and can afford too. also id like to bedliner the bed and the rails on it, and also the whole underside of the truck although that may be a bigger bag of worms than im expecting. id also like to possibly black out the chrome bumpers and add GMT800 tow mirrors, but still havent decided on that one. interior id like just basics nothing special, a cheapo tach would be nice because the truck doesnt have one, i may even let my friend use his l.e.d knowledge for something fancy, the seats i will eventually recover also. but as for now its just fix it to drive it, like i said i need a job and cant really spend money i dont have.
