  • [Project] 1985 Camaro Lemons Racer - Last Years Pics and Preparing for next...

I was getting ready to post some cool pics to the website and thought you guys would appreciate them too. This is from last year's Gingerman Lemons race where we fielded a 1985 Camaro Iroc-Z with a carbed 350.

In the next couple weekends we plan on adding a new bar to the roll cage for the seat belts and swapping out the heavily chunked rear end. Thinking about putting in a simpler open rear to help the rear end survive the 24 hours.

Here's a pic of the people choice right behind us. There's something crazy about looking in your rear view mirror and seeing Santa bearing down on you.

This is a pic of us and the number 43 Pratt and Miller (yes those guys) STD car with their soon to me claimed 600HP small block. Yes they passed us. No they did not finish ahead of us in the finishing order because of their penalties.

    Sure we can drift lol...

Just an old/cleaned up 350 with a QuadraJet. It was pulled out a parts car I bought...The motor we put in for the race blew up just before the race....

      Here's that story.

Yeah we cut out anything impeding the air flow to the radiator. Camaros have a bad habit of overheating in an endurance race. So we put in a 4 core radiator, pushing and pulling fans, and added a trans cooler. Next year we need to put some focus on keeping the rear end cool as it was pretty chunked up.
