No idea on the oil. Haven't asked.
I was just curious, I am starting to notice that engine rebuilders are recommending people use Brad Penn oil even if the car has a roller cam. My work is a distributor for them and I am trying to decide if we should be stocking full synthetic. Right now we stock synthetic blend in multiple different weights, break in oil, gear oil, and grease.
In the next few months I want to become a sponsor here to sell oil, car jackets, brake pads, and a handul of other things.

Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Valve covers are already off....black ones are on (also a place holder) until the "real" ones show up. M&G is a no ah-ah....focusing on Power Tour....and that will be stretch.
REALLY stuck in what to do next. I cant believe I have never had anyone answer what the distance is from valley cover to the bottom of the cowl. With all the fbodies and intake swaps that have ever occured, no one seems to be able to answer it. Crazy....
That dimension dictates what happens next....though I have a feeling I know the answer. Lol, you'd think I would have found it over the last 18months, but wanted to have the engine here to measure the distance first hand. Anyway, I gain an extra inch in cutting the wiper tray, subsequently losing the passenger side wiper....no biggie but would rather not if I didnt have to. Intake is 8 3/4" from valley to top of the fuel rail. I can throw the k-member and schtuff on, make a roller out of it and ship to the body shop but would rather shim the K a 1/2" or less if that's all I need.
Thoughts?sigpic

I don't know why you are so worried about windshield wipers. If this gets caught in the rain, its not like it is going straight for very much longer
Will it at least be at Berger?

For some reason, I think that I also gave you that same dimension (8.75in) back in August or so. I'm too lazy to go back and look through the countless posts here!

Just cram the thing up there and see if it clears.

That's what I was "told"....but now I've seen it for myself, I'm convinced. Found from another source, valley to cowl is 7-3/8"....FAST is 7.Originally posted by BlackBirdDaddy View PostFor some reason, I think that I also gave you that same dimension (8.75in) back in August or so.
