Sounds like a great project and a fair amount of knuckle busting coming your way!! Power expectations?Originally posted by Gaspo View Postcant wait to see everyones hard work paid off in the spring!!!
i will be removing my sts turbo system and installing the twin turbo setup that im getting from lsx_dreamer, plus a nice front mount intercooler. re-installing my true dual 3" exhaust with magnaflow mufflers and tips. short throw shifter (not sure what kind to get yet, any advice is appreciated) and clutch/flywheel combo (also undecided and could use advice). lowering the back of the car back down 2" to match the front. brake pads and rotors (probly the same as larry OIF1VET). subframe connectors. any other ideas???sigpic

haha i hear ya there james. and im thinking around 500-515rwhp. on 5lbs of boost right now thru my sts kit i'm at 373rwhp and 422ft/lbs of torque. the thing is i have a small intercooler and my intake air temp sensor isnt hooked up. it was hard to tune, so he made sure its a very safe tune. he said if i run 9-10lbs with a more effecient intercooler and the iat hooke up he can tune it safely, and it will be around that range. i'll put up a picture of my dyno sheet as soon as i figure out how.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

Why are you getting rid of that STS kit? I've toyed with the idea of putting one on my car.Originally posted by Gaspo View Posthaha i hear ya there james. and im thinking around 500-515rwhp. on 5lbs of boost right now thru my sts kit i'm at 373rwhp and 422ft/lbs of torque. the thing is i have a small intercooler and my intake air temp sensor isnt hooked up. it was hard to tune, so he made sure its a very safe tune. he said if i run 9-10lbs with a more effecient intercooler and the iat hooke up he can tune it safely, and it will be around that range. i'll put up a picture of my dyno sheet as soon as i figure out how.

i found a super great deal on a twin turbo front mount kit. thought it would be a fun learning project for me for the winter. the only downside for me for the sts setup is that if i drive it in rain it will suck water into the motor. if i were to keep it permanently, i would run the intake tube/filter into the trunk area.98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

Feel your pain brotha....Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostJust started tearing into mine the other day....my winter project has already morphed into something else.....lol. Feels good to have the car 2 feet in the air and all tore apart again
Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself

Mine has a date with a body shop next week to shore up some "stuff". After that's done....hehehehe

Bought some LT headers for my car. Need to buy a new flywheel and probally a new clutch too. Ill also be installing a ebrake cable, painting my z28 badges, and installing my Camaro fill in. Thats all I PLAN to do, but I am sure the old "while I am doing it I mine as well....xxx" will come up.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed

I've been tearing down the upper half minus the heads, got the intake all polished and cleaned up, now scraping off gaskets, hoping to get heads on this car soon. Tryin to find a egr and air bypass or delete on the car, or if its smarter to leave it on the car, any advise would b much appreciated thanks, and happy turkey day
