Who's teeing up Winter projects?

New E85 motor is on the stand and starting final assembly on the shortblock now. I have all new gauges to get mounted and hooked up. And I will be putting Wilwood 4 piston calipers and 2 peice rotors up front. And since thats not enough.
I've also pulled an old project out after I stopped working on it about 4 years ago. I'm going to see how far I can get by spring time on my 1960 vw baja. Here's a couple of old pics of my buggy project.

Underhood cleanup/detailing
Interior tearout and sound deadening whole interior
Subframe connectors
New Brakes/brake lines
Much needed exterior detailing...claybar/wheel it out/Zaino

I'm sort of undecided on my car. There are a bunch of little tweaks and custom projects I have been dreaming up, but I'm not sure if I will get to them in the next few years or so. I'm debating whether or not to throw more money into the car right now, or save all my money earned (after I graduate in December) and start looking for houses next fall. I think a house will win out. Once I have a house I plan to rip the whole interior out and sound deaden it as well as do some custom tweaks. The engine, tranny, rear end and exhaust will be left alone until something breaks, at that point, we'll have to see what I can brew up.

Houses are definitely of benefit, but if you can get some little things done first that wouldn't cut into the house fund too much, I'd say go for it. Once you have a house doing those little things will seem that much harder to "get around" to doing.

99- Fix small stuff, I think I have an another axle bearing going out, so new axle bearing and axle and rear end fluid.
Powdercoat new (to me) 10 spokes black.
New tires
Catch can
Frost mail order tune
New rotors and pads, front and back.
Im sure more stuff

93- Just want to get the pistons and rings to the machine shop and choose a cam and have them finish the shortblock so I can get it back.

Ditto on the house thing. Couldn't start on my car project until I completed my garage project...chewed up a considerable amount of toy funding . Much better work environment though...

Have a 3 car garage and the previous homeowner put the laundry room where my car was supposed to go...can't believe they didn't plan that better 20yrs ago! Anyway, here is partial demo where I had already moved the laundry room to the second floor, btw....wifey likes .

I have soo much planned I don't know where to start... Battery relocation, repaint intake, replace valve covers, install fuel rails, hook up Trans, oil temp gauges and Wideband, rotors, pads and possible caliper rebuild(s), clean undercarriage, new plug wires, relocate N20 noids, sure I am missing something.. All parts are in the basement, so I have no excuses... Spring time, new tune so I can spray again... What i actually get done, who knows...

Thanks guys! Like EVERY project (car or house), something always comes up that you didn't plan for. Huge undertaking due to re-arranging the structure over the garage, but found a great contractor that didn't mind me getting in the way once in awhile...not that he had a choice, lol, somebody had to help carry these damn trusses...THROUGH the side of the house!!!
