    [Restoration] Repainting the front end

    Welp i had a few boo boos on my front bumper. so yesterday i got the bumper pulled off and got it scuffed up pretty well, but realized the scratches and everything were deeper then i thought and i have to grab some bondo and smooth everything out.



















    My next door neighbor cam wanting to join in the pictures lol








    Looks pretty damn close




    Hopefully it will be done by this weekend

      yea i wanna spray the base and atleast one coat of clear today but im not sure whether i can do that and let that much time between coats or what to do. gotta make a few phone calls

          Read the tech sheets it will list a max recoat time...usually it's 24hrs.

            You are going to want to avoid Bondo for the front bumper, go with a bumper repair compound. When it's dry, it's sandable, and it is used just like bondo, but it is flexible, and won't crack when the bumper flexes. Just my $.02. That's what we used when we did the repairs to Ben's front bumper before we painted it, and as far as I know, it's still holding up.

              ok well i just laid the first coat of base. and i hope nobody takes any offense to my steps of doing the job. but i used bondo always has and never had a problem. not saying its the best thing or anything of that nature. but im waiting for the pictures to upload to photobucket and ill get them up here about another 15 pictures
