  • [Project] 12.99 or Bust - SUCCESS!

Went to Lapeer today and got a new PB, by a long shot.

Started off with 2 lame 14 sec passes, relearning the car.

Followed by 2 sluggish 13 second passes, which although 13s were significantly quicker than my previous PB of 13.86. The first came in at 13.04, the second at 13.03, 8 tenths quicker than last year.

Then came the glory passes, 4 passes, all sub 12.99!
    12.90
    12.93
    12.92
    12.96

The track prep was, OK at best, I couldnt stall the car up at all, it would just spin, and things got REALLY scary every time the car grabbed 2nd, would just spin right to the limiter and grab 3rd unless I got out of it quick enough, one time I almost lost it, ass end was sliding everywhere halfway down the track....Thanks lapeer.

There was actually a ton of cars there, and I did have alot of fun, but with better tires I wouldnt doubt a 12.5 or 12.6, it was bad. Between my terrible 60fts and the stunt it pulled in 2nd gear, tires are now a complete must. I was really disappointed I couldnt play with my new converter mike built me, but hey, theres always next time I guess.

We videoed most passes, but these 2 came out the best, and I dont feel like uploading any more, feeling lazy.

All passes were made with about 1/2 tank of gas, full weight including jack, spare, console full of shit, my fat ass, and my work stuff in the back seat, on Sumitomo HTRZ II's 275/40/17's.

    So I'm happy!

Vids are taking forever, 5 min until done, posting this now, stay tuned!

I'm willing to bet it goes bottom 12's with a tire on it. What was the MPH?
