Well I have been working on my car this last winter and into this spring and looks like it might be going into the summer. Last summer was the first year I got my car back together, so I figured, why not pull it all back apart and start over again, kinda. In the quest for more power and looking for a quicker destruction of the 7.5 inch heavy duty rear end…..let’s put a bigger cam and a nicer set of heads on that ls1
So the engine creation is as follows:
Cartex Stage 2X ported and milled 243 heads with 921’s
Comp XER 230/236 .615/.620 On 113
Slp Timing chain and Oil pump
LS7 Lifters and ls2 Lifter Trays
Hardened 7.350 Pushrods
Yella Terra 1.7 Rockers
Racetronix 38Lb Injectors
Had on last year:
LS6 PCV cover
Under drive pulley,
Weiand intake mti TB
160 T-stat
I am hoping to be able to get a fast 92 set up if I can afford it. I also had the hawks stainless swap headers and y-pipe jet hot coated in the steering extreme, It came out perfect and hopefully it will help with the under hood temps. Also got a tick clutch master cylinder that, I am going to try to make fit a thirdgen. Few other things going on, heres a few pictures and I am sure there will be few more to come.

When I put the valve train together first I check ptv clearance, lots of room left, measured pushrod length came up with 7.300 inches with a solid checker lifter installed so ad the .50 for preload, 7.350 pushrod. Did a rocker arm pattern check on the valve steam, no shimming of the rocker arms required, the pattern came out on the center of the steam and narrow.
