yep thats him. Great guy, I really don't think my problems relate to his throttle body at all, its either my MAF or the effin tranny deciding to go funky for no reason after sitting all winter.Originally posted by mikek18 View PostDerek mine seems to work good. Honestly I'd feel more than comfortable driving this car anywhere, it runs just fine, i just can't shift 2-3 at WOT (90mph) as if I was racing.. I certainly think I can make the 1 mile trip to the gvsu parking lot lolOriginally posted by Phantom383 View PostHell, hell never make it out of 2nd any way, he lives right across the street

Well i did a small mod today. not a stainless but Brass. i replaced the headlight motor gear on the drivers side. What a difference, and a fun project. I have one ordered for the passenger side too even tho that one is fine. Also ordered a harlan shift light for the pillar. Hopefully i can order my hooker headers at the end of the month.

I haven't heard much about those, what made you choose hooker over American Racing for high quality or heck even ebay for 180 bucks or something like that?Originally posted by mikek18 View Postwoohoo, I ordered my stainless headers today. Hooker stainless headers. hoping to get all my next mods done by the middle of aug.-Derek-

hooker is good quality and I got a good deal. I wanted stainless since Im gonna keep this car. Not gonna do the ebay thing. to many fitment issues and now they are having production issues. There are tons of people on ls1tech that heavent got the ones they ordered.
What the heck have you been up to anyway?

I love my ebay ones, as with most longtubes I had to clearance a few things but they are just fine now. When you have your manifolds out, save yourself some time in the future and throw some poly engine mounts on while the headers are out of the way. Also, if your hooker headers are within a quarter of an inch to the kmember or anything else, clearance the area, you won't regret it later. Its much better to make plenty of room early, than to get everything tightened and have rattles and bumping that you can't really fix. You probably knew all that, but I learned some of it the hard way haha. Good luck!Originally posted by mikek18 View Posthooker is good quality and I got a good deal. Oh and as for what I've been up to.. Just been keeping extremely busy working overtime at Padnos. Working on the farm or up north on the weekends. Just seem so busy with everything, 2 good friends are getting married this summer so I've had to do stuff for that. I haven't been to a single car function since the GVSU Car Show! Hopefully that will change lol.-Derek-
