  • [Project] help with lt1 to ls1 front end conversion (trans am)

I'm doing a 97-98 conversion with whole new front end. And i have all the body panels, hood, front bumper, etc but wondering if i need a new headlight wire harness or if i can just rewire the old wires from the car to the new headlights, also if anyone can tell me where to get a headlight bracket for both driver and passenger headlights, besides the dealer please let me know. (posting before work so i might be vague on alot of this) if you have questions or advice feel free to help me out lol.

You will officially be shuned from the LTx world if you do this. Just warning you

It'll be surprising to open the hood expecting an LSX and seeing something that isn't. Aren't you the one putting an SBC into a 4th gen?

Parts wise I would look through ls1tech and ebay, probably best places to get the good deals.

Go to the "Similar Threads" at the bottom of this page & click on the one that says "93-97 to 98+ front end conversion". There's a link in that thread that should help answer some of your questions. Good luck with the swap.
