Its running real good. It doesnt add of though, new oil pump, new pick up screen, new oil. The first couple of days it ran, it ran good with good oil psi, we were going to take it to Baldwin Machine Shop, and going down my street, it just lost pressure. Lifters should be here today

I do know it also depends on what kinda oil line you run, I had to change to a copper capillary line on my Buick cause it dropped pressure for some weird reason, also check the gauge to make sure its a good one and not leaking out the back side

Oh Lord, we took apart the WHOLE motor today, and WOW! All of the bearings are fried, the crank needs to be re-done now. There were metal pellets throughout the whole motor. All of the oil holes on the crank were blocked off by the pellets, which is where the low oil psi was coming from. So....... i guess my buddy is going to order a new set of dome pistons, to up the compression, all new bearings, and the block needs to be hot tanked. Lots of work to come on this motor. My dad told him to get the motor checked first, but he insisted we should put it in and worry about anything that goes wrong after that. Now he will basically have a brand new motor

I dont know what to think. We tried to tell him that the motor should be gone through before we put it in his car because we bought it used, just for the heads. Now the crank needs to re-done and all of the bearings, including the cam bearings. After that though, it will run like a wet dream

Good things come if you wait long enough, or so im told. My brother finally brought a piece of Carbon Fiber, which we've been waiting on for like a week. Cut it up and this is the result.

FWIW, a forged crank will have a thick parting line down the center (length wise). Wheres a cast crank will have a thin parting line. Eric L

Heres pics of the intake. Its a beauty in person.

Ha thats the same intake I have. Professional Products Hurricane. Chevy High Performance used that intake on a 383 and made nearly 500 HP N/A. Awesome product. Too bad my block turned out to be a waste of time. On the lookout for another Gen 1 4 bolt main.

I can't wait to see how that thing will fit under you stock hood, or are you buying a cowl hood?

Looks real nice buddy! Keep up the great work.

As it sits now, the carb wont even sit under the hood. So with the filter on it, it wont work. It just gives my dad a reason to either get a new hood, or make his own cowl hood

interesting day today. It seems like my dog has been trying to eat the fender on the IROC. Would you like to know why? I popped the hood up thinking maybe my cat is under the car. It was most definitely not a cat. There was a damn groundhog sitting up by the firewall under the hood. I of course, dropped the hood faster than you could say groundhog. Yea it spooked the shit out of me. Funny thing is, my dads calling me a sissy, but yet, he came out of the house with a pool stick AND a bat. Needless to say, my dog does her job very well. It better not come back again, ill start the ***** up and see where it goes then. Ok maybe i wont start since there isnt a carb, but either way, it wont like what happens. I guess anything can happen in Michigan, as long as it doesnt snow during summer time, then i can deal with it

more surprising than anything honestly. I mean who would ever expect to find a groundhog when they open their hood? Next time he better run like sonic, the dogs will be out for him!

That's why I have an air rifle. Those little bastards are afraid to go near my toys. I made an example out of a squirrel last week.
