I don't want to do a big cube..or at least just not yet..I want to stick with the small blocks..
For now I'm just doing the n/a lt1 but once I get used to my tuning software for my xfi I want to do run a twin turbo..till I blow the motor at least lol..then ls time?

im in a bit of a rut right now...my upper a arm mounts are at powder coat and i had to order new strut mount plates from summit, so once i get both of those two i can put my upper a arms on and assemble my struts

im still trying to get my wheel hub/bearing off of the spindle part so i can get the spindle to powder coat...any ideas guys?

once the spindles come back from powder i can finish the front suspension assembly and roll the car out of the garage and finish doing the dye work on the interior and putting that stuff on... without the interior its kinda hard to wire switches and gauges...so im kinda stuck right now

Just use the stock belts. trust me on this: 5-point harnesses suck. I used to run 3" 5-point harnesses in my fox body, it got old realll fast on the street

Is it possible to only buckle the lap belts on the street? Could you try having both in the car At the same time so u could choose?

imo lap belts arnt worth a shit. if your going to buckle up you want shoulder harnesses so just dont do the lap belts on the street if you get 5point harnesses.


my friend would still be alive if he had a full seat belt and not just a lap belt when he was hit and killed.

yeah I forget his name (white trans am on here) has 5 point harnesses and still has the stock seat belts for street driving.

If the car sees any street miles dont put 5 points in. they are a pain to buckle, they rub on your clothes and scratch your neck... you have very little movement... just all around a bad idea for the street

i see you are converting your block into a 4 bolt main, what main caps did you end up going with?

I went with eagle billet caps...figured I was running their rotating assembly so I might as well go with their caps you know.
And I'm installing both the factory seatbelts as well as the 5 points...car will be on the streets now and then but mainly the strip so I have a need for both... When on the street I can just drop the laps on the side of the seat and the backs behind the seats...I'm pretty sure I can make something work but for now that's my plan

good luck with the eagle caps. I have not personally used them, but I heard they are soft and that some machine shops will not even try to work with them

Eh...the shop I took my block and caps to said he's don't a few of them..wasn't real fond of eagle themselfs but said the caps will do the job so I guess we'll see lol

finally got back to work for a bit today... I put on my spohn front sway bar and tossed on the motor mounts. I also got in my bmr heater delete panel while i was working in the engine bay for a bit...got a few smudges on it when i was applying a sealer but when it dries it should just rub out hopefully. on top of that, i got my kyb adjustable struts & mounts along with my eibach drag springs for the front assembled.. i was a little worried at first before i opened the box because the springs were blue but now that theyre together i think itll look real nice with everything else once its all together. my block is still at the shop getting the 4 bolt done for a few more days but my upper a arm mounts should be finished with powder tonight/tomorrow...once i get them back i will be able to bolt on my upper a arms and attatch the assembled struts . currently im repairing a crack in my dash..once im finished i can start dying it and instal it so i can then put in my gauges and the front interior and start wiring my switches..probably wont be ready to do that till later this week but theres hope.
