  • [Project] My Next project: S10 Blazer 350

    Heya,

So I picked up another vehicle yesterday, Just got it all signed over to me, registered and plated today.

the reason for me getting another vehicle was pretty simple, I needed something that I could drive in the winter, my camaro isn't driving in the summer, needless to say that I could drive it in the winter lol. My cobalt will do terrible in the snow unless I invest money into wheels and tires for the winter, which will cost me a decent chunk of cash.

So I decided to buy a little truck to drive in the winter, I have always loved seeing little S10's with V8s in them, so i decided to get my an S10 to drive in the snow, and eventually drop in a 350 or 383 into. after looking on craigslist and wherever else for weeks, I came across my new car.

    1985 Chevrolet S10 Blazer
    2 tone Black / Red
    2.8L V6 with 4spd auto
    2 Wheel Drive
    2 Door

the truck is pretty clean considering, the passenger side is a little scrached up, I dunno what someone coulda done to scratch it all the way down, but they did, no dents just a nasty scratch, I think whatever caused it took off the mirror also lol.

the interior is decent, only thing that kinda sucks is someone used the blazer to haul some paint in, and looks like it got spilled. some trim needs replaced on the driver door, and the center console lid needs replaced, but all in all the truck is great.

truck has no rust on it, 125k miles and I only paid $1000 for it.

    waddua think?

I want to eventually do a either a 350 or 383 swap into it, should be pretty fun with a v8.

I only have one pic right now, Ill keep you guys updated as I go, and get some more pics soon.

I'm jealous to an extent! But also confused by your decisions.
I bought a set of 17" wheels and almost new snow tires for under $500.00 for my tuner.
But you still got a great deal for a clean truck. I'm jealous because latey I been wanting to make a 12 second car for under $5000(s10 would be the easiest/cheapest to do) but I don't want to pay for the plates, insurance, fuel, or maintance at this time.

Needs to be lowered a few inches. I like those 98+ S10 wheels, some 245/60s would look nice on there.
    Nice find!

      really? under 500?

I guess I wasn't looking for used tho either, most tire places I was checking was telling me itd be about 1000 bucks for wheels and tires for my car for the cheapest I could find.

This was kind of a kill two birds with one stone kinda deal, cuz it was an awesome find Ive wanted to do a v8 swap on one of these, and i need a winter car, so it all works.
