It's gonna look great, Larry. That Formula nose with that style ram air hood is my favorite look for Firebirds.

We dropped the Formula off with the painter yesterday. I'm feeling a lot better now that I've seen the guy's shop and what not. He had a Jeep and a 2005+ Mustang in the shop - both had body panels straight as can be, one was in primer and one was getting some dent repair done to it. There were two Camaros there - one Mystic Teal with a Sunoco Hood and halo headlights and the other was a Black Camaro with an SS spoiler (only saw the back of the car). He painted the mystic teal Camaro and it looked pretty good. Another guy that was there said that he's painted 5 of his cars.

We asked him to paint the whole car for dad and he quoted us $450 to do the whole car. Really hoping that he does a good job. We also told him if he does a good job we'll definitely recommend him to other people on the site. We asked him how much it'd cost for him to paint the stripes on my hatch and stock spoiler and he quoted me $75... a far cry from the $600 quote I got from my own cousin's body shop.

Brian let me know how this turns out cause I am defiantly interested in getting my car painted at those prices 8-O Even if it isnt a perfect job i'd still be interested as I know my car will never be perfect.

Will do - he still maintains he'll have it done by Sunday/Monday. Like I said, I just want to make sure he does a decent job before I go recommending him.

Even better than that, I'll know what my car would look like in purple! LOL! Really can't wait to see it and I may have an "interesting mod" if you're not feeling faint-hearted about it. Check the update thread.
