Last night was a job that's for sure, 6 hours under the car, but I'm glad it's done

Back when we started the project I had a long talk with Matt Berger. He told me Berger had a new take out LS1 and being a Tier 1 supplier he could make us a sweet deal on it. BUT ... it would still be several thousand dollars and that was several thousand dollars that we didn't have.

This car is being built with some of the coolest state of the art pieces in the industry. But we have always been on a shoestring budget. We have gotten some OUTSTANDING deals from vendors but very little has been free. We budget for everything and then have to raise enough money to pay for it all. Fund raising is still ongoing

THANKS to all those who have helped out both on labor and cash

            • After several weeks of hard work, sand blasting (James, Ray & Justin) and prepping the bottom of the Project, Justin (and his Dad, Jerry) were here on Saturday to do the painting. It looks great! THANKS! We shoud have the wheels very soon, maybe even this week. And the SSBC brakes should be here pretty soon, also. So, now we're into the final cleaning of brake/fuel lines and starting to reinstall all that STUFF that goes under the car.

Here's a couple of update pics:

                • Justin was telling me, that painting the bottom of that car on a crepper is probably the hardest thing he has ever painted.

But from What I've seen in the pics, he did a Great Job anyway.

                            • It has been a GREAT couple of days for DZ74.
The bain of our recent existence, the body underside, IS NOW COMPLETED!!!
                              THANKS James and Justin!
In addition to that, I spoke with our contact at SSBC today. Our brakes are ordered and on the way!!! Check out the Force 10 stuff at www.ssbrakes.com
Our wheels have been on order for about a month. They told us they would hit our credit card just before the wheels shipped. They hit our card today, so hopefully we will see these killer wheels either this week or next.

Time to put her back together
