Just for clarification a 42lb injector will max out at 538 hp. @ a 80% duty cycle so for Reds motor they will work good.

I just took some before pics of the engine. You'd never know to look at the exterior of my car that my engine is so filthy dirty. Once Kyle has it out, I'd like to get in it and clean it up. Any good suggestions on that. The neighbor said he cleaned his with some spray foam stuff. Just spray it on and wipe it off and it cleans off all the grease, dirt, and gunk but he couldn't remember what it was called. Anyone ever hear of anything like this before? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
And take a good look at the last pic and you'll see why I really need to do this rebuild. When you have to put kitty litter under your car, it's time for an overhaul. My goal is to have a high(er) end street car. I'm not a strip person but wouldn't mind if Kyle took it down to Martin just to see what the car can do. I'd rather he do it as opposed to me cause I know to get the best possible time, I'll need someone behind the wheel with experience and right now that is not me. I'm more one to fool around on the back country roads when no one is lookin'!
So here are the first of the pics and I'll post up as things progress.

OMG! Just shoot me. This is the way my entire day has been going and it all started when I went to turn off the "under the cupboard" light this morning. My hand barley brushed the paper towel holder and the one end went flying off in all directions. You'd have thought I was launching rockets at it. GEESH!
I resized and uploaded the pics again and one is still a tad off but I don't care.

Wow...can't wait to see a new, clean engine in there!

To answer your question on the cleaning. I would get some kind of orange cleaner, or degreaser. Make sure you dilute it so it doesn't make the aluminum parts look like crap, cover the battery, alt, and opti. Then go at it with spray, scrub it with a towel and then rinse it. If you plan on using the hose, I'd suggest keeping the car running while using the water, and let it run for 15-20 min. after you're done so it dries. You can get some metal polish to polish up the metal again, and get some armor all, or some type of plastic dressant; please do not use tire shine. If you need more help or suggestions on cleaner's let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.

She is going to be doing this in my garage with no motor in the engine bay.
And IMO pouring running water over our motors with the opti on it is a bad idea, she might just leave you stranded.

I do it to mine. But yea i understand what you're saying. I have some degreaser here at work, but I'm not sure if UPS will let me ship something like that, otherwise I'd send you guys some stuff.

I think a good ol scrub brush, hot water and soap would do a real nice job

The bay just looks dirty and that's an easy clean up
