    • Hey Brian what's up I've been viewing this thread since page 1. Awesome work you've done so far. I'll be at the M&G again this year and definitely gotta see the car in person.

You're comin' over today or tomorrow? Didn't know you were coming over We need to get the auto radiator still... until that comes we're quite literally twiddling our thumbs.

Will do, Mike. I'm really hoping the radiator comes today so we can swap it out. Steve said he won't be able to come over during the weekend so if we can't get it ready to start up tonight or Friday night it won't be starting until Monday at the earliest.

        • VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYY Frustrating, waiting on part to be delivered, can't fire up till then. The radiator is the bigest hold up. All because of fluid level sensor, which will not be plugged in anyway. We just need it to plug port in radiator. AAAARRRGGGG! wish I wouldn't have got promoted! was easier being low on the ladder with no responsibility! LOL

                • Well, UPS already delivered today so it looks like we won't be receiving the radiator until tomorrow. Just wish Trans Am Creations would have sent me a tracking number of some sort so we would be able to anticipate when it will arrive. Ugh... almost makes me wish I would've just spent the extra $100 and bought a brand new radiator so I would've had it on Tuesday.

If my dad can haul ass and swap the radiator, install the hoses onto the radiator, and then fill the radiator and trans with fluid, we should be OK to start up on the day the radiator arrives I think. Just waiting for confirmation from my dad and then I'll be sending a text to Steve to see if he can make it after work. Cross your fingers guys!

                  • hey brian,

i missed it - what did you end up doing with your oil pump? did you do the white spring and tack weld it?

radiator is a peice of cake to swap - just wear gloves cause that thing is a cheese grader on your hands.

                    • We did swap the spring but we didn't tack weld - my pickup tube is completely stuck in there, I tried yanking on it and it wouldn't budge at all. We don't have a tack welder so we just kept going with the engine buildup.

And yeah, I hate handling radiators for that exact reason.

                        • I hoped as much I figured if there was no way for me to move that pickup tube around or twist it or pull it out that tackwelding would be a little overkill. Hope it was the right decision.
