Thats what I thought too, a plain one doesn't give any boost, a red ANODIZED give a HP boost for sure.

I bought the cheapest one they had at Murrays, the cheaper they are the less crap they have in them to restrict your fuel flow and I never put garbage in my tank so why not.Doing less with more
