Don't know if you know but this tube in your hands:

This babby needs to go under the TB and down the drivers side of the intake.
It will hook into one of the 3 tubes of the fuel system.

Actually we *tried* to reference my dad's car once so far and it was a total waste... stock LT1s in the engine bay are COMPLETELY covered in shit. All I wanted to see was what the engine coolant temperature sensor on the water pump but I couldn't get to it because of all the damn crap on top of it. I think the only thing I can reference on my dad's car would be the intake manifold and that's about it.
My dad bought the TB cover on E-bay, of course.
Haha, yeah, I didn't know and that's why I took the pic. Dan (mcssmostwanted), Nicole (85TA_Girl), and Will (willasc) came over yesterday evening after we all went to Hooters for dinner and Dan showed me how it's suppose to go. Then he talked me into deleting the EVAP all together.Originally posted by Phantom383 View PostLooking good B

Less stuff to dirty up the engine.

Motor is looking good. Its a great deal of work to clean these engines up. Hoses, and wires are routed in so many directions.

There are some things you should just leave alone IMO.

From what I understand you just disconnect it where the steel lines go plastic under the driver's side wheel well or whatever, and then there's a charcoal canister in the rear that can be disconnected. You'll smell a little more fuel vapor but to me - decluttering the intake to make it look a little more cleaner is worth it.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postwhats involved in deleting the evap system? I wonder - do the 3.4L v6s even have EVAP?- Brian Meissen

Oh no.....not the EVAP delete......Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View Postim going to research the possible side effects of that one a little more and potentially delete it also.
J/K....I took mine off 10 years ago. Just don't plug off the vent line from the gas tank. I put a cheap clear NAPA fuel filter on the end of the line to keep debris out of then routed it all into the inner fender so it's all hidden. I very rarely get a faint smell of fuel vapor.sigpicTurbo Charged LS1/T56
