Not yet. Once I get a buyer for the v6, I'll set a date to have a v6 removal party. Then I gotta paint the engine bay and clean some stuff up, get everything together, maybe have a "build the LT1" party for the out-of-engine-bay cam swap and whatnot. Then last, but certainly not least, the LT1 install party.

Well, I do have the Z-roc hood that should be higher rise... but you're right I don't think that'll work that great.

Price, simply put. I got the LT1, 4L60e transmission, engine wiring harness, ECU, entire interior wiring harness, driver & passenger side doors, rear hatch, rear tail panel, rear bumper cover, and all 4 rims w/ tires for $1000... too good of a deal to pass up.Originally posted by mister_grendel View PostSorry if I'm asking you to repeat info posted elsewhere... I looked around and didn't find anything. Why LT and not LS? Will you need to replace wiring harnesses? Wouldn't tubular k-member & control arms give you alot more than 30 lbs. weight savings?
But yeah, I was also taking into consideration the ease of swapping like you were hinting at -- from what I understand, the interior wiring harness will mate easier with the LT1 harness than trying to put an LS1 engine harness mated to an LT1 interior harness.

Haha, I don't think words could really formulate how anxious I am. As long as it's done in time for the M&G I'll be happy.Originally posted by Formula Z View Postso how anxious are you B??
And here's the latest purchase today -- LT1 kframe assembly, LT1 radiator, and LT1 accessory bracket. Pretty good deal, got it all for only $150. It turns out that it was John Glister's son, Dave. He had an LT1 WS6 and an LT1 Z28 and the Z28 had a Street Lethal sticker on it so I mentioned the sticker and we got to talking - REALLY nice guy. Gave him a card to our site, not sure if he'll sign up or not.
If I only had the money, too. He had a set of gold roller rocker arms (1.6) but I'm not sure what brand... he also had a full set of intrex (i think?) 2" drop springs and brand new rear struts.. said he'd give me the RRs, springs, and struts for $300 which is like buying the RR's and getting the other two for free. Just didn't have the money to get it.
Anyway, here's the pics of the latest additions to the parts for the swap:

Enough parts in the garage?
