Very sweet deal and some great stuff. It must've been a lot of suck doing the transporting in the rain though. Oh well, great deal, crappy weather. Congats and can't wait to see the finished product!

Awesome Brian, congrats! That is the EXACT picker i bought and i love the thing. It works great! I've used it to pull the car off my engine, engine out the top, move engine and trans around, let a friend borrow it to put his engine in, etc. It's served me well and i'm sure it will you also! Looks like you got a ton of body parts i'm not sure why, but sell those off and put that cash into the engine! IMO, you should do some kind of average sized cam and headers for sure! That way you will get a little more kick in the rear and it will sound nasty! I'm very excited for you, you have my number, give me a call if you have any questions or need a hand!

                      motor

way to go,now make BIG RED fast and tire burning, lt4 hot cam, 1.6 rockers, jet hot long tubes might as well do it while motor is not in car yet.

I would start disassembling the engine now (remove the intake), and depending on how clean the lifter valley is I would make that decision. If there is no sludge in there I would leave it alone.

Also drop the pan to upgrade the pump spring and see what that looks like. If you upgrade the oil pressure relief spring, youre going to breathe a lot of longevity into that engine. I couldnt be happier I did that to mine.

honestly brian i would rebuild it either way...lt1s take a beating u dont wanna have your motor outta ur car again n its a ***** to work on while in the car i would get lil cups label them for screws n take shit about clean everythin up really nice maybe even paint some stuff before puttin it together check the opti replace bearings seals rings gaskets its not really gonna cost u that much to always have that peice of mind that u basically got a new motor in your car if it takes longer **** it as long as its done ryte once just my opinion from experience

i agree with replacing bearings right now but that is as far as i would go.

u could cheap it out now n just pay more later an pull the motor back out or pay a little more now n do it all right and once you could rebuild ur whole motor in a day it doesnt take long

I would agree to do what you can afford now...I'd pull the heads off and see what the cylinders and combustion chambers look like too...peace of mind if you've not heard it run...
