  • Well I bought a Trickflow intake elbow, the air foil, and an SLP dual filter intake. I just felt if I was going to get an intake and spend money on one, I might as well get the one I truly want.

...plus I got my tuition reimbursement check today.

yea, a lot of people use them. youd have to hit something awfully bad for it to be a problem and Im definitely not offroading the Z28 i only drive 2k miles per year. and again, the camera angle is decieving.

      • Feeling a lot more confident now about the car. We've got all day to knock out a lot of little things but I think we're really on the right track. My dad saved the old spark wires so *IF* we absolutely have to use them we'll wire the car up with those and then when my custom ones arrive we'll have to redo with the custom ones. Hopefully my Summit stuff will be arriving tomorrow also. Getting damn close!!!!

            • This build is epic.

May have already discussed, but what kind of oil did you put in it and what are you changing it too?

              • I think we used Shell regular non-synthetic oil for the 500 break in. Not entirely set on what we're going to run once the break in is over.

But not handled by a lot of people.

I have only found 1 place so far by me that sells it and they are an certified RP dealer.

                    • Advance Auto Parts regularly stocks all grades of RP. Thats what Ive run for the longest time, even in the 6. Thinking on switching to GC.

                          • Ive never had a problem with it, but I just cant justify the cost, there are other good synthetics out there. Penzoil platinum, german castrol, m1, Valvoline to name a few. RP is just so darn expensive.

                              • I decided to give the GC a try this oil change instead of my normal Mobile 1. So far, I am very impressed! It seemed to quiet the valvetrain a bit, and the oil pressure is good. I would recommend it so far.
