Edit: OK i re-read what I typed and now I see the confusion. I was taking the LT1 out of the bed of the DAKOTA, not the v6 out of the Camaro. No way in hell would I be able to do that so quickly! Still not sure what you're talking about for the k-member.
he was saying did the lt1 come with the v8 k-member because they are different from the v6 ones

Oh yeah, I know I need a new k-member for the v8. I'm probably going to go tubular.

Tubular K-member FTMFL. I would not recommend getting one. I don't know about you others but i've had one on my car and it caused a bunch of problems. I would not get one on a car your only going to street drive, keep the rigidity of the stocker up there, it holds your whole front end together! get a stocker! Plus they are $450 for 30 lbs, lol. I dont think Brian is that hardcore into saving weight!

Haha OK OK maybe I'll go stocker then. I just thought the tubular would be a good buy and would also be good for dress-up.

And Don, thanks for reminding me -- I've been seeing a lot of comments about the 1.6 RR for the LT4 Hot cam, do I need 1.6 RR for the hot cam? What is the stock size -- 1.4 was it? Does it make that big of a difference to do the 1.6 rr?

The LT4 kit includes 1.6 roller rockers. They are worth doing yes. Stock rocker arms are 1.5 ratio.

Good choice, save your money and get a stock K, spend the money on a cam, valvetrain, headers, and clean up!
