  • I think it looks sweet. Looks sweet. Did you ever think about black wheels before you got your current setup?

That's actually the exact reason why I think it looks so good.

          • See if you can get the sail panel vinyl wrapped in black. Test the look out and see if you want to go for it, or peel it off and you're back to normal.

            • the guy with the silver coupe with it done in the pic i posted just sent me a PM on CF. He said he first did it in base gloss black and didn't like it, then had it redone in base gloss black but added medium and fine aluminum flake with fine silver pearl and likes it MUCH better. Says it looks 100% black from a distance, but up close in the sun it looks like the base silver is popping through. Whatchya think?

Well if i decide to do the top, I will be doing the rear bumper in the same paint. If I just do the rear bumper it will probably be semi-gloss. I don't think flat would look too good since all my lights are tinted, cleared, wetsanded, and buffed (they have a ton of reflection)

Does anyone know of a place around the area that might be able to wrap my sail in a vinyl?

                    • I gotcha but the back would not look good in gloss IMO most guys do it semi or flat.

i agree. i think they will have to be different. the sail will not look good in anything but gloss. and i dont think the rear area by the exhaust will look good in gloss, like jeff said, most people do flat, sometimes semi.

                        • Went to Lapeer today. Best run was 13.3 @ 110 . Best MPH was 112. It runs well for its only mod being a catback. Car struggles greatly out of the hole. Best 60' was a 2.1, Fail. the 19's out back and slammed stance probably doesnt help that out too much. Need some DRs now for the wagon wheels! Also I went out to do a standing burnout (never done one in a stick car before). My first attempt resulted in this.....

                            • Yeah, Mike said you were at Lapeer.

Not too bad for the times, it's kinda cold out for racing, so I think that could cause traction issues.

                              • The corvette is looking pretty sharp! The times you ran are pretty respectible.

However.... you need to stop asking people what the think of a certain modification. I learned this lession the hard way, trying to figure out what color to paint my car. I would always ask people and everyone would tell me something different. Opnion are like *holes.

You have to decide what you like and do it!
