            "um, really?"

The rev limiter is intended to be a safety - not something you should be intentionally flirting with because its your first time in the bed and you cant control your excitement. Ive hit my rev limiter TWICE in the 5 years I have owned my car, and both were on miss-shifts.

Use some throttle control, pro-long your engine life, and dammit pull professional looking holeshots.

Funny thing is I have never heard of anyone having engine problems caused by the rev limiter?? Its there to prevent problems. Now is it a good thing to just sit on all day probably not but your not going to do any harm by hitting it a few times.

Its there to prevent stupid drivers from damaging their engine. Using a rev-limiter as a substitute for the throttle control you should be managing is a very ricer-rific thing to do.

The people that hit it once or twice accidentally and react to it (let off or find the next gear) know how to use this feedback properly. Thats not what im getting at... I am talking about the people who light the tires up and bounce it repeatedly instead of doing the latter. If you need 6 and half grand to break your tires loose you shouldnt be attempting a holeshot.

I guess I just like to torture my tires and not my engine, but hey do what you want to do its not my car.

Ill give jonny the benefit of the doubt because he admits his skill level isnt where he wants it.

Lol, my driving stirs the pot! I was by no means disregarding the limiter, i was peddling the car. This is the first stick car i've ever had so i'm still getting used to it. Being how cold it was last night, i've never had the car spin that much before and being on video i was trying to walk it out I was peddling it but the damn thing kept finding it... i'll get better i'm sure

Anyways, just got the car back home. I got hosed on those rear tires. I got them off eBay and discount inspected them to find they each had a hole in them! Lovely. Anyways, they did good work and patched them however one was too close to the sidewall for their liking so they told me just to putt putt around and not do anything stupid for now until i can find different rear tires. Oh well, they are on the car now and looking badass, i love the meat out back and the silver spokes are a perfect match almost to the car with the polished lip.

Boy does it ever need to be lowered! Good thing my lowering kit showed up yesterday, i will probably tackle that this weekend!
