  • Turbo Pics!!!!!

well the car is finally done, well 90% for now....
long ass ordeal and too much headaches with certain individuals. nothing like going to afghan for a year and waiting 9 months to drive your car........ then waiting 2 more months after you get back to finally get your car. Oh well. here are some pics of my trans am with my turbo install and some other pics of it. so far with the wrong spring in my wastegate running 12 lbs of boost i got 234HP and 412 lb ft of torque to the wheels. that was at 2980rpms in 2nd gear, i was getting too much boost so they detuned it to 5 dgrees of timing and pegged out my injectors at 42lbs an hour and let me take it home to work the bugs out of it. the car runs nice besides the oil issue but i cant wait to get her retuned and really open her up and see what she gets. projected HP is anywhere from 460 to 500 at the wheels, it is gonna be nice..... just by looking at those pics i can see your oil issue. Did you get my e-mail? I sent a huge one to try to help. I can tell you right now i bet your oil issue is placement of it in the pan.... Oil isnt going to flow uphill unless forced (which will cause a huge backup) and your fitting is on the bottom of the pan... I would guess if you moved the fitting to the side of the pan near the top that you issue will be fixed, it will drain out and down onto the oil. Ask whoever did that why it's set up that way and how the oil is supposed to flow up that 90* fitting and UP into the pan. Get a smaller WG spring in aswell and you should be good. So i'm guessing your burning a ton of oil out the exhaust? I can help you out more if you have any questions, just let me know. That drain set-up just doesnt seem right...

                  cage

joe at stenod performance installed it, and my other guy painted it, it is a wolfe racing 6 point roll cage, it is a pain in the ass to get in and out of, my dad is selling his roll cage if he can get 500 for it, it is chromoly and pretty light, mine is heavier than his but i will have more power than him

                    thanks superman09

i will call and ask him about it, i think i am gonna take it to pace fabricating, he has been giving me pointers on it like you have, you know your shit man, he said the same thing about it, it isnt burning too much oil but it is noticeable. i want to have some one do it that knows what they are doing, i am gonna get my spring myself and then have a good shop dyno tune it, i am gonna get my money back from my mechanic on my dyno tune and put it towards the new shop.... how much power did you get, all my shit worng with my car and my torque is way up there, is that normal? or will it change alot with less boost?

well for one, turbos make torque, a lot of torque, lol. Definitely get that oiling fixed, i would guess all that needs to be done is moving the fitting on the pan to a different spot. I got your e-mail and replied, glad i can be of help. I havent gotten final numbers yet either, working out some kinks of my own, looking to hit the dyno again soon!

The car looks good but I hope your trans and rear last long enough to enjoy the car a bit. Seems like those guys at Scheuler don't know wtf they were doing to actually turn the car over to you in that condition I'd definatly get some money back and take it to stenod or the like and have them get you your 500hp.

super clean install. good luck sorting out your oil drain. those can be a pain in the butt. the oil "foams" coming out of the turbos and need lots of gravity help to get it back into the pan. i had aproblem on the other syclone with the drain line that would cause oil to go past the seals and burn. i am sure you will get it sorted.

hopefully i will fire up the tt truck this weekend for some boosted fun
