I'm still considering the turbo set up for the T/A. I havent found many compaines that make an affordable kit. I would make my own manifolds but I have zero welding skills. I was thinking about possibly using LT4 corvette manifolds. They look like they flow well, and will allow for some easy pipe bending to custom make pipes for a front mount turbo. How good is your welding? I want clean welds that look, perform, and last a long time. Is this something you would need my car for? I'm still new to the turbo world. What I want to do is build a kit that will work well for a daily driver. I want to bolt it to the stock motor and and run it for awhile. I think that if I keep off it I will be able to get 10,000 miles before rebuild time. Once its motor build time I think in order to keep it a daily driver I will have to keep the motor cubic inches down to 355 and go with a strong forged bottom end. Stock heads if possible? I want to cut on average no less than 17 miles to the gallon and hopefully mid 20's on highway. I think this is possible. I could easily build a 600-800 horse motor for a few more $$ but I couldnt drive it everyday. I don't see how a 400-500 horse at the wheels and ooodles of torque can't be produced from a gas friendly setup.

Welds are good, I havent had any compliants!! I would need your car, other wise it would be like building these headers with my eyes closed. But anyway Im going to be coming out with a kit this comming summer and i tell ya, its very easy to get 600 rwhp out of the stock motor tunned right of course. And it wont hert the drivability eather... What your asking is not so hard at all,, you should get 18 pluss on the highway,, ( MUST BE TUNNED RIGHT) but it wont be a problem. Just let me now what you want to do. I can get all the TURBO PARTS also like I said before.. Do u now what turbo you want to run or ??.. Your going to run a BOV RIGHT. What kind of PSI did ya want to run, and are you going intercooled.. Let me now what your thoughts are with this car and how soon your thinking of doing this project!! thanks..

I don't know much of anything about going the turbo route. I think until I get a forged bottom end I will want to run low boost like 6-8 PSI. I have to talk to some engine guys about the bottom end. I know I need to lower the compression, upgrade internals, and convert to a 4 bolt. As far as the heads are concerned I want to just have them cleaned up if possible and go with better valve train. I want to have the compression someplace where when I change the heads in the future for more power I won't have to swap pistons. So I have no idea what kind of boost to go with or type of turbo. I want a loud one that makes lots of noise, so a big nasty Blow off valve is a must. I'm also not sure on the intercooler set up. To me making a air-water cooler looks easyer in these cars. However for a street car I was told air-air would work better. I just don't see how the darn things can get enough air in the small area infront of the radiator?

Going to be working on a stage 1 kit for the v8 this comming summer and goal is to have a intercooled system with 500 rwhp. (stage 1)
Other hand i can help you with anythink and or parts and sizing you will need OK!! Any type of ??, I would run a air to air intercooler, for the street.. Its easyer and you will get plenty of air to cool it you just have to put it in the right place! How many miles do you have on the Car.. I have a couple of sizes for ya here in front of me, I would perfer you to call me on the turbo, and other parts.. Comp. wise you should be around a 8.5 to 1 comp. ratio. And the stock heads would be fine, If you could upgrade up to the AIR FLOW RESERCH heads latter on that would be great. They flow rilly nice.. The best head especily for the $$$. Other wise when you rebuild the motor i would atleast port and polish your heads if your going to keep them. and put some good valves and springs on top. But any way Have any ?? Just let me now!! She will have about 125,000 miles on her when the turbo is ready to go on, if all goes the way I want it to. I'm in the process of moving out and finding a winter warrior so I'm going to have to put the project off tell mid winter. Do you plumb the turbo to the engine oil pan or can you run a seperate oil supply for the turbo with a oil cooler? What size turbo do you recommend? I was hoping I could get a used one for cheaper.

Hey, not to rip in on the thread, but i was planning on getting a lower boost turbo this next summer (by the end), also wondering if i can run pretty much what i have now? Not have to change parts and end up costing me more then i would like? lol I would be really interested in your kit Justin, keep me posted!
